At the western end of Kangaroo Island, between Kelly Hill Caves and Flinders Chase National Park, this privately run conservancy protects habitat for native wildlife living in the wild. Its best-known experience is the Koala Walk, a gentle trail through eucalypt woodland regarded as one of the island's surest places to see wild koalas, often several dozing overhead at once. Guided daytime and nocturnal walks reveal other marsupials and birdlife. Bookings are essential; the sanctuary is open daily except Christmas Day.
