Jewel Cave

34.2738° S · 115.0981° E

Jewel Cave is Western Australia's largest show cave and features three expansive underground chambers adorned with crystal formations that have developed over thousands of years. Visitors can embark on a one-hour guided tour through the cave, during which the guide uses lighting to highlight towering stalactites and stalagmites, delicate straw-like formations, and sparkling shawls. The tour offers explanations of the geological processes behind these formations, along with historical anecdotes and stories about Tasmanian Tigers that once fell into the cave. Situated near Augusta in the southwestern corner of the state, the cave's narration seamlessly blends science, history, and storytelling across the three chambers.
