KP Custom Knives is a Sydney maker of handmade kitchen knives, working for chefs, restaurants and home cooks. The range runs to chef's and boning knives and Japanese-influenced forms, kwaiken, honyaki and sujihiki, in both stainless (12C27, Nitro-V) and carbon steel. Handles favour local timbers, stabilised red gum and spalted ash, set against black linen micarta, brass and G10. Most of that timber is foraged by hand in western New South Wales, then collected, slowly dried and stabilised in-house. Each knife is one of a kind, and custom commissions are taken through the studio.
