Home to the Art Gang, formed in 1995 and drawing artists across several generations from the Lockhart River community. Work moves across acrylic painting, ceramics, weaving, carving and fine art printmaking, telling stories from Sandbeach country in styles from naïve landscape to abstract fields of colour. Artworks can be bought directly at the Centre on Piiramo Street, and the Gang shows annually at the Cairns and Darwin Aboriginal art fairs.
