On the Lake Burley Griffin foreshore in Parkes, this is where Australia's documentary record physically lives — rare maps, manuscripts, photographs, over ten million items held under the National Library Act 1960. The reading rooms are open to anyone. Trove, its digitisation program, is the most extensive of its kind in the country.
