The Napoleone family traces its Yarra Valley roots to 1948, when Joseph Napoleone — an Abruzzese immigrant who'd arrived in 1926 — finally reunited his family and planted apples at Wandin. The Coldstream vineyard came later, in 1978, on land once farmed by Swiss pioneer Hubert De Castella from 1860. Three generations on, the estate still grows apples alongside Yarra Valley wine grapes.
