Overlooking the foreshore from Mundy Terrace, this is one of the region's oldest licensed pubs, dating back to 1847 and still trading as an independent local. The kitchen puts fresh Limestone Coast seafood front and centre alongside local meat and farmed produce, backed by an extensive specials board and pub favourites done properly. Themed evenings rotate through the week, from steak and parmi nights to a Sunday roast, with dinner served daily from 5pm to around 8.30pm. Expect South Australian wines, local ciders and craft beer at the bar, which stays open late. The setting is unfussy and welcoming, the sort of coastal pub that fills with locals and holidaymakers alike through the warmer months. It is worth arriving early on busy nights, as tables turn quickly once the sun drops over the bay.
