Shrine of Remembrance

Melbourne's Shrine of Remembrance is a monumental war memorial in Kings Domain, designed by World War I veterans and inspired by the ancient Tomb of Mausolus. The Galleries of Remembrance beneath the monument present over 800 artworks and artefacts including an original Gallipoli landing boat, while the iconic Ray of Light ceremony illuminates the word LOVE at 11am each day marking the end of World War I.
