Stuart Smith and Rhonda Parish planted their Malakoff Road vineyard in 2006, on a horseshoe bend of Graveyard Creek where buckshot gravel over clay does most of the talking. Four wines — Shiraz from the warmer north face, Chardonnay and a Marsanne-Roussanne blend from the cooler south — are made with wild yeast, French oak, and no fining for the reds.
