Ben Ruble digs clay from Mount Jerusalem to make dinnerware and custom sinks at his mountaintop studio above Upper Main Arm. Workshops run the gamut from Raku firing — pots pulled hot from the kiln into combustible materials — to primitive pit fires using cow pats, seaweed and wood ash. Two gas kilns are available for hire, firing to 1300°C in oxidation or reduction.
