The bluestone building on Owen Terrace went up in 1864 as the Elands Bonded Store, dealing in wine, spirits, ale and general commodities for the busy copper port. Restored over several years, it reopened in December 2019 as a combined microbrewery, distillery and restaurant spanning the ground floor and cellar. Twelve taps pour beer brewed on site among the stainless tanks; downstairs a copper still named Ginger anchors a gin bar turning out small-batch spirits. The kitchen leans on Yorke Peninsula produce and locally landed seafood, with much of the menu cooked over a custom parrilla charcoal grill. Seating around 200, it has drawn Australian Good Food Guide recognition. A rare thing for a country port town: a serious drinks operation and kitchen sharing one historic room.
