Eight square kilometres of private native forest in the Huon Valley, held under conservation covenant since 2004. Cabins run on rainwater and solar; composting toilets, wood heaters, outdoor baths. Current custodian Michael took over in 2023. Fifty minutes south of Hobart, it's the kind of place where switching your phone off feels less like a choice and more like an inevitability.
