Two restored keeper's cottages stand beside the granite light, completed in 1881, on an offshore nature reserve nine kilometres off Narooma. The Head Keeper's cottage takes ten across five bedrooms; the Assistant's takes six. There is no road and no private boat — you arrive on an NPWS vessel, transfer and island tour included. Australian fur seals haul out below the verandahs; the reserve protects more than ninety seabird species. Closed each August.
