Panshanger Estate

The Mills family have run Panshanger as a working sheep, cattle, and crop farm since Charles Mills was given it as a wedding gift in 1908. Joseph Archer first built the cottage in 1821 — a land grant on the Lake River, eventually expanded into one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in Australia. Country Style called it "one of Australia's most elegant houses." Guests stay in the 9-square guest wing of the homestead. Stable yards, water tower, horse-operated pump house and cider press still on the 6,000 acres. Fly fishing access on the river.
