In the northern reaches of Brisbane Water National Park, ten kilometres west of Gosford and minutes off the M1, a run of cascades drops in three levels through rainforest. An 800-metre return walking track winds from the picnic area to the base of the falls, past gymea lilies, with water dragons, goannas and lyrebirds among the locals. The grade-three walk takes about half an hour, and the picnic area above has barbecues and tables under the canopy. Vehicle entry fees apply.
