Doug Govan acquired the Star of Greece, an 1880s clifftop cottage at Port Willunga named after the ship wrecked offshore in 1888, around seven years ago. Modern Mediterranean cooking — King George whiting and squid from Kangaroo Island, local pork, beef and vegetables — served upstairs in the restaurant, fish and chips downstairs at the Port Willy Kiosk. The wine list draws on Govan's cellar at the Victory Hotel at Sellicks Hill, where he also makes Rudderless from grapes grown around the pub.
