The kitchen keeps pace with a short, seasonal menu built around regional growers, plates designed to sit alongside a glass rather than dominate it. Mornings lean towards coffee; Thursday to Saturday it runs late into the evening, the closest thing the highland town has to a proper wine bar. The room is unshowy and the approach restrained, letting the producers of the surrounding tablelands do the talking.
