A steep granite dome on the Granite Belt near Ballandean, climbed by a 3.6-kilometre return Grade 4 track in Girraween National Park. The route rises through eucalypt forest past rocky outcrops and grassy flats before the final exposed ascent up bare rock, where good fitness and stamina are required. On the summit stands the Balancing Rock, and the views run across the park's forests to the Second Pyramid. The trailhead sits by the Bald Rock Creek day-use area, nine kilometres from the New England Highway.
