Set in a shed on the New England Highway just north of Stanthorpe, this Applethorpe warehouse runs deeper than the usual roadside bric-a-brac. Antiques, collectables, retro and up-cycled furniture fill the floor, but the mix is more considered than most, with quality second-hand clothing and jewellery, linen and haberdashery, plus a working range of knitting, crochet and quilting supplies that pulls in makers as well as browsers. The stock rewards slow fossicking and turns over often, and its highway position makes it an easy stop on the drive through the Granite Belt's orchards and cellar doors. Among the region's scattered vintage and antique traders it is one of the larger and better-sorted, drawing consistent marks from visitors for both its range and the pleasure of the hunt.
