Run by the volunteer members of the Tumut & District Historical Society, formed in 1962, this Capper Street museum has gathered local material since 1975 and settled on its current site in 1979. The collection holds Miles Franklin memorabilia, historical photographs and agricultural machinery from the district, with rooms refurbished over recent years. It opens Saturday and Sunday afternoons, otherwise by appointment.
