Broger's End

Broger's End is the 160-acre Kangaroo Valley farm Sarah and her partner have spent years transforming from a rundown property into a working Black Angus and organic produce operation, with the accommodation funding the conservation work. Sarah was born in Canada and credits the project to her father, who raised three daughters on camping, canoeing and wholemeal bread before any of that was fashionable. Two restored buildings take guests: The Dairy, a one-bedroom conversion of the original milking shed, and The Shed, a three-bedroom rebuild of a farm shed using recycled and reclaimed materials throughout. The farm sits between the escarpment and the Kangaroo River, 2 hours from Sydney and 6km from Kangaroo Valley village. Platypus in the creek, a Black Angus herd grass-fed on the property, seasonal vegetables and citrus through the garden, sandstone carvings around the buildings, an outdoor bath and a pizza oven. Solar with Tesla battery, rainwater throughout, EcoTourism Australia certified.
