On the northern slopes of Mount Canobolas, vigneron James Sweetapple has farmed these red basalt soils for 29 years without chemicals — sheep in the rows, EOV-verified land health, and an unusually wide range of varietals to show for it. The Nebbiolo, Lagrein and a 2015 Reserve Barbera sit alongside Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Tastings are $15, open daily, no time limit.
