TOOWOOMBA & DARLING DOWNS, CROWS NEST, QUEENSLAND

After good rain, water tumbles through eucalypt forest along a series of boulder-strewn cascades before plunging 20 metres into a waterhole surrounded by steep granite cliffs. The falls are the centrepiece of a compact national park in the granite country of the Great Dividing Range, six kilometres east of the township of Crows Nest and about 50 kilometres north of Toowoomba, at the edge of the Darling Downs.
