Rick Kinzbrunner planted his first vines at Everton Upper in 1982, after stints at Stag's Leap, Simi and the Moueix group in Bordeaux. The estate now covers four hectares — Chardonnay on a south-facing slope, Shiraz on the amphitheatre block above — producing around 2,500 dozen bottles annually from certified biodynamic, granite-loam soils. His son Nathan has worked alongside him since 2007.
