Open since 2003 and the only fully accredited zoo in Tasmania, holding the largest collection of native and exotic wildlife in the state and the second largest primate collection in any private Australian zoo. Native wildlife rescue and rehabilitation runs alongside species management programs with other zoos. Entry fees carry the husbandry, the animal aid and the conservation funding — there is no government money behind it.
