Roxburgh House
Hobart & Southern Tasmania, TAS
The 1880 Italianate building was originally Scotch College, then Queens College, then amalgamated with Hutchins in 1909. The Core Collective–led restoration of the heritage shell into apartments was named by the Tasmanian Heritage Council as a case study and described as "inspiring." Three apartments now share the building: a three-bedroom penthouse occupying the whole first floor, a one-bedroom on the ground floor with its own front balcony and garden, and a kitchenless suite for two on the other side of the entrance. MidTown Hobart, a block from the Sunday Farmers Market.
