Spring brings wildflowers to the hills trails and comfortable conditions for cellar-door visits across the Swan Valley's open-air wineries and breweries. Winter suits the region's hill retreats and guesthouses, several built around fireplaces, spas and sheltered decks. Warmer months favour Fremantle's outdoor dining terraces and market browsing, given the coastal exposure of its heritage precinct.
