Louis Cardini trained in leather in France and has been designing and making bags, briefcases and accessories in Australia since 1973. After decades in Sydney, he moved the factory and showroom to the Lumber Yard at Bangalow, in the Byron hinterland, where the work is still cut, lined and stitched in full leather by hand. The range runs from handbags and cabin luggage to made-to-measure leather coats, and he'll usually answer the phone himself.
